Research has shown that High Quality Play is an important contribution to a preschooler's emerging literacy, numeracy and inquiry skills. We plan our curriculum using Play, Participation & Possibilities: An Early Learning and Childcare Curriculum Framework for Alberta. We create an environment where children are active participants in their learning.
Jolly Phonics Pre-Reading Program
This phonics system attempts to address all learning styles while teaching the phonograms in fun and entertaining ways. Phonics students learn the sounds a letter makes (instead of 'b' is for boat) and to see, hear, say and print the phonogram.
Jolly Music Program
Through our extensive cache of rhymes and songs, children learn to identify musical elements such as pitch, rhythm, pulse, speed and loudness. Physical actions, creative activities and musical games reinforce learning.
